The innovative technology presented for the first time in the biscuit industry, lies in a patent belonging to the president and owner of Violanda, Mr. Konstantinos Tziortziotis, who after many years of planning, in collaboration with engineers and company executives, developed and put in operating "green" technology, which allows us to design today... a more sustainable tomorrow for all!
The investment takes place in Larissa and will be completed around mid-June, while trial productions have already begun with impressive results. The amount of the investment reached 4.2 million euros and the factory will produce in full development 2.5 thousand tons of biscuits per year. The new production line installed in Violanda's green factory will produce the following cookies:

The new technology developed and put into operation for the first time by Violanda, bears a 100% Greek signature and is expected to be the starting point for a new technological redefinition of many baked products worldwide.
In more detail, for the successful elimination of pollutant chimneys, a vertically integrated electrified tunnel oven supported by renewable energy sources (photovoltaic etc.) was built, thus eliminating all fuel and eliminating the emission of pollutants. In order to eliminate water vapor emission chimneys and hot greenhouse gases, special water exchangers were designed, manufactured and installed, which, through geothermal energy, separately cool the water vapors resulting in their liquefaction.The benefits resulting from the above application are, on the one hand, the abolition of steam chimneys, resulting in the direct reduction of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, and on the other hand, the free production of hot water, sufficient to cover the needs of the factory.

Violanda, keeping its corporate culture intact and taking into account the global warming potential and the speed of climate change, eliminated both pollutant chimneys and hot gas chimneys, almost eliminating emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) as well as equivalents (CO2e). directly caused by the production of a product. At the same time, with the above technology, production costs are noticeably rationalized, as due to the supported power supply through RES, energy costs are significantly reduced.
With the new "Violanda steam free" chimney removal technology, Trikalini Biscotti is creating one of the greenest factories, drastically reducing its own carbon footprint, laying the groundwork for limiting the greenhouse effect. At the same time, the innovative technology developed by Violanda is another proof that the industry can operate sustainably and protect the environment... because there is no planet B!
