Violanta is the first food industry in the world to have the honor of receiving the ZETA (Zero Emissions To Air) certification from Eurocert. This certification is the first of its kind globally in the food production sector, recognizing the achievement of zero air pollutant emissions into the atmosphere. It was awarded thanks to the revolutionary technology used at the company’s factory in Larissa, known as the Eco-Friendly Biscuit Factory.

This factory, which operates without chimneys, is based on the "Violanta Steam Free" technology. Through this unique combination of technologies, the company has successfully eliminated traditional pollutant chimneys, as well as steam and hot gas exhaust stacks, by utilizing specialized geothermal water exchangers. This innovative technology is the result of years of research and development, demonstrating Violanta’s commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
